Looking at pictures and creating pictures has always been important to me, be it drawing, painting or taking photographs. I got my first camera on my eighth birthday, a simple Kodak with room for 12 pictures on the film. Ten years later my birthday present was a Pentax Spotmatic and a 50mm lens.

Long ago I went to art school in my native Sweden, and then as a mature student I went back to Stockholm Universtity to study for a masters degree in Art history.

Even though I have been taking photos most of my life it all became more important to me after I bought my first digital SLR in 2010 and now photography takes up more and more of my time.

Animals wild and domestic as well as nature in general has always been close to my heart. I find spending time outdoors both inspiring and relaxing and it is also in connection with nature that I find most of my subjects. 

I now live in Geneva Switzerland but spend my summers in Skåne, in the southernmost part of Sweden.
